Asteroid Belter: The Newcastle Science Comic

Asteroid Belter: The Newcastle Science Comic was made for the British Science Festival 2013, hosted by Newcastle University.

The 44 page newsprint comic was a collaboration between 76 artists, writers and scientists. As part of the editorial team I managed six artist, writer and scientist teams, each producing a comic. I was also involved in the print production of the comic with Paul Thompson. The comic was the first Applied Comics Etc. printed project, since then I have worked with Lydia Wysocki of Applied Comics Etc. on several projects, both in print and online.

My work with Newcastle Science Comic has also involved managing the Newcastle Science Comic Blog and Twitter, and print and editorial work on Spineless: The Newcastle Science Comic.

10,000 copies were printed by Newspaper Club.
